Who we are

Netrunner Access is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with our secure connectivity services and this website.

What we collect

• Account & billing data — name or alias, email, plan, invoices and payment status. Card data is handled by payment processors (e.g., Stripe, Wise, PayPal) and never stored by us.
• Operational data (minimal) — subscription status, node region, aggregate throughput and uptime needed to operate, troubleshoot and prevent abuse. We do not log browsing history, DNS queries, traffic content, or source/destination websites.
• Website data — standard web logs and security telemetry (e.g., IP address, user-agent) collected by our hosting and security providers (such as our CDN) to keep the site reliable and secure.

Why we use it (legal bases)

• Contract — to create and manage your account, provide the service, and handle support.
• Legitimate interests — to secure and improve the service, prevent abuse, and understand capacity needs.
• Legal obligation — to keep tax and accounting records.
• Consent — where required (e.g., certain marketing). You may withdraw consent at any time.

Retention

Billing records are retained as required by UK tax law (typically up to 6 years). Minimal operational data is kept only as long as necessary for service operation and abuse prevention, then deleted or anonymised. We do not retain traffic content.

Sharing

We share data with service providers acting on our instructions, such as payment processors (Stripe, Wise, PayPal), hosting/CDN and email providers, strictly for the purposes above. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

Your rights (UK GDPR)

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and other technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method is 100% secure, but we work to keep risks low.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
